I've been shooting weddings for 9 years; I studied art and documentary photography in college and live in the meat-packing district in Chicago. I love dogs, but because of my frequent travels I can't really keep one. I've been flown around the world to photograph couples shooting in places like India, France, Spain, and Argentina, all over the US, and of course, Chicago.
Now for that professional stuff: I'm a 4-time WPJA award winner, an accredited member of Professional Photographers of America, and my work has been published in numerous magazines including:
Ines Del Mar Weddings, The Knot, Brides Chicago, CS Brides, and Photographer's Forum. I also head up the Chicago chapter of the
Pictage photographers group.
I'm also a working artist, and my work has been exhibited in galleries in New York and Chicago as well as in 3 solo shows in Italy. You can
see some of it here. The first book of my work
Alchimia degli Elementi was published in the spring of '06 by Pieraldo Editore in Rome. Stay tuned for a forthcoming book announcement.
I was born and raised in Argentina and Costa Rica and so I speak fluent Spanish (as well as English), and through much perseverance have become fluent in Italian. I enjoy traveling (especially if there is an ocean involved), good wine (or bad wine with good friends), and water skiing.
I shoot weddings because I love the work. I believe there are few other occupations that provide such a deep and personal look into people's lives and it's an honor to be invited to share those moments time and time again.
I love making images; it's that simple.
